Marketing professional crafting content for the AGRICULTURE industry

Welcome
I grew up in the northern part of the Bluegrass state, and to this day, I still consider May’s Lick, Kentucky, home. Like many, my path has been shaped by the places I have been and the people who have influenced me, each step reinforcing my connection to agriculture.
As a fifth-generation Hereford breeder, I spent my childhood helping on our family farm and showing cattle. The early mornings, events, mentors and the opportunities to travel gave me a deep appreciation for the agriculture industry and the people who make it special. This lifestyle became part of who I am, and it was clear that I wanted to build a career that allowed me to share its story.
That journey began at Kansas State University. After one visit and a drive through the Flint Hills, I knew Manhattan, Kansas, was where I needed to be. Once I officially became a Wildcat, I took every opportunity to grow, pursuing a double major in agricultural communications and journalism, and animal sciences and industry. Those four years provided friendships, experiences and a strong foundation for the communicator I hoped to become.
Wanting to continue developing my skills, I found the next step in Lubbock, Texas. Walking onto the campus of Texas Tech University gave me the same sense of belonging I felt at K-State. Joining the Department of Agricultural Education and Communications proved to be one of the most enriching periods of my life, both personally and professionally.
Today, I serve as the Director of Communications and Digital Content for the American Hereford Association, where I lead content strategy, digital communication, brand development and event communications for key Association initiatives. It feels only fitting to serve the breed in this capacity, given my family’s long-standing pedigree in the Hereford industry and the role the Association has played throughout my life.
The agriculture community is truly unique, and I am grateful to contribute to its progress through meaningful communication, and thoughtful strategy.
Thank you for visiting my portfolio. I invite you to explore my work and the projects that reflect my passion for this industry.
